About this opportunity
The Women at Microsoft Scholarship offers seven one-time awards of $5,000 each to support women (self-identifying), non-binary individuals, and women of transgender experience pursuing education in tech, engineering, math, or computer science.
Eligible applicants must be graduating high school seniors planning to enroll full-time in a related undergraduate program at an accredited institution in the U.S. for the entire upcoming academic year. A minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale is required.
The scholarship emphasizes academic achievement, leadership, community involvement, and the potential for future success in the tech industry. Financial need will be considered. Employees and children of Microsoft employees are ineligible.
Eligibility:
- Graduating high school seniors
- Self-identify as a woman, non-binary, or woman of transgender experience
- Plan to enroll full-time in a related study in the U.S.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
- Excludes Microsoft employees and their children
- Application Period: January 22, 2024 - March 13, 2024, 3:00 pm Central Time
Notification: All applicants will be notified in June. Scholarship payments are processed by Scholarship America on behalf of The Seattle Foundation and are made payable to the educational institution in early August.
