About this opportunity
The Einstein Fellowship supports outstanding young thinkers who wish to pursue a project in a discipline significantly different from their previous work, following the multidisciplinary example of Albert Einstein. The fellowship is not intended for dissertation research or completing already-begun academic studies. Instead, it encourages high-quality, original, and feasible projects that demonstrate superior intellectual development. Fellows are hosted at the garden cottage of Einstein’s summerhouse in Caputh, Brandenburg, providing a serene environment for deep thinking while remaining close to the academic hubs of Potsdam and Berlin.
Target Audience:
◦Young thinkers under the age of 35.
◦Must hold a university degree in the humanities, social sciences, or natural sciences.
◦Applicants must propose a project significantly different in content and field from their previous work.
Geographic Eligibility: Global (Residency in Caputh, Germany).
Tangible Benefits:
◦Stipend: A total stipend of 10,000 euros for the six-month period.
◦Accommodation: Living accommodations provided in the garden cottage of Einstein’s summerhouse.
◦Travel Reimbursement: Reimbursement of travel expenses to and from the fellowship location.
◦Public Platform: Opportunity to present the project at the Einstein Forum and the Wittenstein Foundation.
