About this opportunity
GESS by SEA is a pioneering initiative aimed at empowering youth to drive social change using social entrepreneurship. This program, held in collaboration with leading university entrepreneurship centers in Munich, Shanghai, Querétaro, and Cape Town, invites students worldwide to tackle pressing global issues.
Participants will form international, interdisciplinary teams to create sustainable, innovative, and profitable business models under the guidance of expert coaches. The program culminates in a pitch event in front of a public audience, welcoming students into a global network of change-makers.
Eligibility:
- Undergraduate and graduate students aged 18 – 35
- From all academic disciplines
- Must be enrolled in a university during the calendar year of the GESS program
- Proficient in English and demonstrate entrepreneurial thinking, motivation for societal improvement, community engagement, commitment to peace, and teamwork abilities
Program Highlights:
- Location dates: Querétaro (22-28 July), Shanghai (24-30 August), Cape Town (1-7 September), Munich (12-18 September)
- Multi-stage selection process with an application deadline of 14 April
- Tuition fee: 199,00 € (non-refundable, grants available for students from organizing German universities) Includes accommodation, meals, and the possibility to earn up to 6 ECTS points
