Social Policy Research Foundation (SPRF India), a non-partisan public policy think tank registered as a public charitable trust and headquartered in New Delhi, is hiring a Research Associate. SPRF aims to make public policy accessible through data-driven, non-partisan research and to foster critical dialogue among engaged youth. This is a full-time, remote position suited for candidates with a background in project management or journalism. Candidates should be adept at both qualitative and quantitative research, able to develop original research ideas, and conduct data analysis. Knowledge of Indian public policy, human rights, marginalized communities, and welfare schemes is essential. Responsibilities: - Develop and write various research outputs, including commentaries, issue briefs, discussion papers, and other external publications. - Conduct primary and secondary research and assist with creating questionnaires, scripts, and surveys. - Ideate and develop concepts for audio-visual outputs like podcasts, photo essays, and photo stories. - Review research papers and articles from external sources and within the team. - Collaborate on internal and external research projects, calls for proposals, conferences, and presentations. - Assist with research formulation and administration tasks. Eligibility: - Recent Master's graduates and individuals interested in public policy and academic research. - Postgraduate degree in social sciences with 1-2 years of work experience (internships count). - Commitment to at least one year in the position. - Candidates pursuing PhDs or seeking part-time work should not apply.
