About this opportunity
The SAIGE Incubator is a premier program designed to equip emerging contributors with the skills, foundational knowledge, and community needed to mitigate catastrophic risks from AI. The program is built on three core pillars: a tailored introductory crash course for newcomers, hands-on mentored research projects, and a global network for career acceleration. Participants work in small teams (1-5 people) under the direct guidance of established experts from organizations like MATS, MIRI, and Apart Research. The program offers four specialized tracks: Technical AI Safety, AI Governance & Policy, Technical AI Governance, and Communications & Field-Building.
Target Audience: Individuals with backgrounds in Computer Science, Math, Law, Political Science, Psychology, Economics, Operations, or Program Management. No prior AI Safety experience is required, but a strong motivation to contribute to the field is essential.
Geographic Eligibility: Global (Remote-friendly with specific local community connections in Germany).
Tangible Benefit: Direct mentorship from top-tier AI Safety experts; participation in a Global Speaker Series; access to the exclusive SAIGE Slack community and local hubs; dedicated research skills workshops; and structured career guidance for post-incubator placement. Projects can be extended for an additional 3 months after the core program.
DEADLINE: Sunday, March 22, 2026 (Initial Application).
