Schwarzman Scholars is a prestigious one-year, fully funded master’s program in global affairs at Tsinghua University in Beijing. It is specifically designed to prepare the next generation of global leaders for the challenges of the 21st century by providing an immersive introduction to China’s role in the world.

The program brings together a diverse cohort of high-caliber individuals from all sectors and regions to foster deep cross-cultural understanding and leadership development.

The curriculum is world-class, designed by leading academics and faculty to build students’ leadership abilities while providing one-of-a-kind perspectives that cannot be gained from books alone. Beyond the classroom, scholars engage in an immersive leadership experience, including an in-country study tour and access to an international network of high-caliber global leaders, academics, and innovators. To apply, candidates must demonstrate academic excellence, exceptional results in their field, and outstanding leadership qualities. The application requires a current resume, two critical essays (a Leadership Essay and a Statement of Purpose), official transcripts, three letters of recommendation, and a short one-minute video introduction. Applicants must have an undergraduate degree and be between 18 and 28 years of age as of August 1 of their enrollment year.
